Chocolate colored growth rings are intertwined with a gray-brown undertone of the heartwood, but there is no harsh border between the two. The grain is large and irregular with visible pores that give the wood its texture. It's perfect because of its imperfections. When you sand off even the thinnest layer of the material, new shapes and patterns emerge. If you look long enough at the curves and stripes of the wood and especially into the areas where a branch started its growth and the streaks flow around and stretch away from this deep dense center, you'll see why the Tupuna was chosen to represent what this watch stands for.
We tried to keep the design simple so as not to distract from the subtle and timeless beauty of the material.
My wife purchased my zebrawood model in 2020 and to this day it still looks great. Mechanism still keeps perfect time and lost count the amount of people who have complimented how good it looks. Extremely satisfied with this quality product.
So happy with our Walnut WoodLore watch. It was a gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it.
I bought this as a leaving present for an employee leaving a Forestry firm.It was beautiful particularly the Maori design on the front and the employee was really happy with it.
