Zebrawood boasts, perhaps, the most dramatic pattern of any type of wood. The heartwood is a soft warm yellow. The dark chocolate color vines create the contrast and give this amazing material its name. In some places the dark stripes are straight and parallel, in others, they bend into weird shapes and blend gradually into the honey color of the base. When you think that every one of these stripes captures the weather conditions of the year it was formed, it's difficult to think of a better way to show the passage of time.
The erratic pattern of the zebrawood is contained by framing it with blackwood. It reflects the dark stripes of the central parts of the watch and makes them pop even more and gives the overall watch a finished look.
Design and watch quality exceeded my expectations.
It looks the same as pictured. The wood is extremely lightweight. It's the most unique watch I’ve owned, it's really cool.
